iyzico vs Stripe — Which to Pick?
Simple rule: Selling only to Turkey → iyzico. Lower commission (1.9% vs 2.9%), Turkish support, Turkish bank installment campaigns.
Global sales or SaaS → Stripe. Stronger subscription/billing API, broader currency support, better developer experience.
Hybrid (Turkey + global customers) → We use both — iyzico for Turkish customers (installments), Stripe for global.
Stripe has a Turkey constraint: Turkish Lira (TRY) is not directly settled yet. You charge in USD/EUR and route to a Turkish bank via Wise/Payoneer. Can be complex for SMBs.
If you build SaaS like an international company (Wise account, Stripe Atlas etc.) this doesn't matter. For Turkey-only ops, iyzico alone is enough.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Stripe live in Turkey?
Yes, Stripe accepts in Turkey but TRY isn't directly settled. Payments in USD/EUR are transferred to a Turkish bank via Wise or similar.
What's Stripe Atlas?
Stripe's service — sets up a Delaware (US) company, opens a bank account, gives you a Stripe account. A global structure for SaaS founders.
Stripe commission?
Standard 2.9% + $0.30. Volume discounts at scale. Slightly more expensive than iyzico but more powerful features.
Migrate from iyzico to Stripe?
Possible. Existing customers' card data is migrated to Stripe Vault (PCI Data Migration), subscriptions continue uninterrupted.
